Downer EDI’s Works division maintains more than 41,000 lane kilometres of road, making it Australia’s leading private sector road maintenance provider. Our client focused research and development team ensures that our clients receive best performance solutions across asset development, management and maintenance. Our innovative approach also focuses on and supports the Group’s commitment to Zero Harm and reducing our carbon footprint. For example, the Works division is the largest recycler of asphalt in Australia.

Providing complementary services to our Rail and Engineering divisions, the Works Division also maintains 2,850 kilometres of rail track in Australia. It is also the leading provider of rail signalling, electrification and overhead wiring installation services in that country.
